"Hello Friends and Family,
My name is DeAnna Williams and I am a sophomore at the University of Kentucky majoring in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences with a minor in Spanish. I have gotten very involved on UK's campus becoming the MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and related Sciences) Secretary for the 2015-2016 school year which demands much of my time as my role is very vital for the organization. I organize meeting notes by taking minutes at each meeting and also create emails to send over the listserv to spread information about our organization to faculty, alumni, current general body members, and prospective students.
I am also a member of the Leadership Exchange who helps students engage in extracurricular activities to be more involved on campus, as well as give workshops on topics such as Time Management, Living off Campus, Maintaining a Healthy Lifestyle, etc.
With all of this, I still want to gain the most of my college experience. I will be going out of my comfort zone to help reach my goal of becoming a more diverse and well-rounded individual by studying abroad in the Dominican Republic. I would appreciate any donations or contributions that anyone could possibly make. No donation is too tiny or too small.
I am currently trying to raise money to cover the cost of travel and living expenses for the two weeks that I will be away. If you all could help me reach my goal , I will be sure to share my experiences with everyone by sharing pictures and writing about the excursions and activies I do while abroad. My trip begins on May 14th, 2016 and I am expected to return on May 28th, 2016."
Thank you soooo much for helping me out! It is greatly appreciated!!
