Hello my name is Layla, I go to Highland Middle School which is an IB (International Baccalaureate) school. I am in the 7th grade, in AP (Advance Program) classes.

Since Highland Middle School is an IB magnet we learn a lot about the world, and will be taking a trip out of the country. I have been selected, of a select few, to go to the Capitals of the British Isles so I can gain a deeper understanding of the geographical, political, and social history by exploring 4 of its renowned capitals cities: Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, and London. It is a 12 day learning experience for me. I've never been out the country, or even taken an airplane so I am really excited about this trip! I will be going with two of my favorite teachers as well.

I'm just really EXCITED about this whole journey.
