PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Sponsor for Success, Leverage Property Management, and the Louisville Urban League have partnered together to offer affordable rental homes to Louisville’s west end community. The federal government typically defines housing as affordable when it consumes no more than 30 percent of a household's income. Approved applicants will only be required to pay 25% of household income.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
- Current resident or willing to relocate to Lousiville Metro Jefferson County
- No income limit
- Meet other requirements determined by S4S and Leverage Property Management, including a $50 application fee.
- Applicants also will be required to attend Louisville Urban League FIT to Rent class and Rental Readiness 1:1 counseling to develop a budget, learn their credit score, and develop an Individual Financial Plan. Applicants also will be charged a $25 application fee to apply.
THE FOLLOWING PROVIDES A GENERAL OUTLINE OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS.
1. Complete an application with Leverage Property Management If you are determined eligible Leverage Property Management will refer you to Louisville Urban League.

2. Register and attend F.I.T. to RENT virtual orientation class hosted by LUL
3. Complete an application for Rental Readiness, 1:1 counseling with Louisville Urban League($25 Registration Fee required)
a. If approved tenant must meet a LUL Counselor/Coach over a 3 month period. Appointment needs may vary by each participant’s situation.
4. After completion of 1:1 counseling/coaching sessions, the LUL counselor/coach will provide an official Completion Certificate to Leverage Property Management with any other requested verifications for reconsideration.

SPONSOR 4 SUCCESS(S4S) AND LEVERAGE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT OFFER EVICTION FORGIVENESS FOR THOSE WHO MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS.

- b. Establish a payment plan for any unpaid apartment collection or previous rent.
i. If you have any unpaid apartment collection or previous rent with Leverage Property Management within the last 7 years, Leverage Property Management will forgive your eviction if part of your financial goal planning through the Louisville Urban League includes a payment plan to repay your balance with Leverage Property Management. If Leverage Property Management has already submitted your account to collections, you must establish an active payment plan with the collection agency.
ii. If you have any unpaid apartment collection or previous rent, within the last 7 years, with a landlord not managed by Leverage Property Management, Leverage Property Management will forgive this if part of your financial goal planning includes a payment plan to repay your balance with that landlord.
4. After completion of 1:1 counseling/coaching sessions, the LUL counselor/coach will submit required documentation (1:1 Session Log, Payment Plan, Completion Certificate) with any other requested verifications to Leverage Property Management for reconsideration.
ii. If you have any unpaid apartment collection or previous rent, within the last 7 years, with a landlord not managed by Leverage Property Management, Leverage Property Management will forgive this if part of your financial goal planning includes a payment plan to repay your balance with that landlord.
4. After completion of 1:1 counseling/coaching sessions, the LUL counselor/coach will submit required documentation (1:1 Session Log, Payment Plan, Completion Certificate) with any other requested verifications to Leverage Property Management for reconsideration.
